Logging Into Google Classroom

This set of documents provides step-by-step instructions—available in both English and Spanish—for logging into Google Classroom using a New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE) student account. The guides outline the full process for families to access their child’s digital classroom, including directions for both web browsers and the Google Classroom mobile app.

The instructions explain how to locate the DOE Student Account Self-Service page, enter the student’s OSIS number and date of birth, retrieve the assigned DOE username, and create or reset a password. The guides emphasize proper login formatting, including when to enter the username with or without “@nycstudents.net.” Families are shown how to sign into Google Classroom, accept terms, add or remove accounts, unenroll from previous-year classrooms, and ensure the correct student account is being used. Visual cues such as clicking specific icons, selecting “K–12,” and choosing “G Suite Account” are described to support accurate navigation.

These bilingual guides are designed to help families independently access their child’s Google Classroom, ensuring consistent connectivity to instructional materials, assignments, and communication with teachers.
